Mission Day

On Friday, our school held a Mission Day to raise money for the missions.

First, I did the haunted house with Dre. He gave me a torch and Jonah said, "Give me the torch."

He grabbed it. Owen was choking me and Jarvis had a glowing mask.
Next, I did this sponge game. You had to throw a sponge at a person and you got lollies.
Next, I did the obstacles. You run up, do a trick on the trampoline, then dribble the balls around the cons crule under the tarpaulin.

How To Make a Cardboard Print

You will need:
-thick cardboard
-thin cardboard
-scissors
-P.V.A. glue
-printing ink
-rollers
-paper

What To Do:
1.Cut out cardboard shapes to make a picture.
2.Glue onto template.
3. Let it dry.
4.Put paper over top.
5.Use roller to put paint on the template.
6.Put paper over top and press it with a clean roller.
7.Pull off.

Athletics Day

When I was 9 years old, our school had an Athletics Day. We all competed in lots of,events like High Jump, Long Jump, Vortex, Shot Put, Discus and Sprints.

First,it was a sunny day. We ran to the courts where heaps of crunchy leaves were. When all the colour houses were sitting down on the green tiger-turf courts, Mr K said, "March to the field."
St Anne, the yellow house, went first, then St Anthony, the blue house, St Francis, the green house, and Joseph, the red house .
Next, we did discus. I was feeling nervous. I threw the black discus 12 m. It went flying through the air. The grass was green and wet. It made holes in the ground. I came first in my age group.There were marks where it went in to the ground. 
Finally, it was the sprints. We lined up in our age group. Girls raced then the boys raced. I ran as fast as a cheatah. I smoked them all. I came first in the 80m, 100m, 200m.
It was a fun day, but I was very tired when I got home from school that afternoon. I came first in everything.

Cameron's Pet Day

When I was nine years old, our school held a Pet Day .
First, we brought our pets to school in cages. We put them in hall. It was loud. There were lots of cats. They were brown, black, gray and ginger.
Next, we had the first parade at 10.30. All of the animals came but not the dogs because, if they went out, they would fight. The animals were loud.  There was a smart possum. It was climbing in a black cage. He was in a black bin. The bin was black and the possum was black and fiery. It made little peeping sounds.
Finally, it was the dog parade. There were heaps of black labradors They were barking. They were tall. I liked Cleveland's trick, the fastest dog in the universe and the fastest man in the universe. It was when he and his dog ran around the field and I liked Jackson's trick. He made his dog dance. His dog was black. It barked quietly.

King Arthur's Castle

Mrs Death read us the story of King Arthur, then we used three different pieces of paper and combined them to show what his castle looked like.

Getting Out of the Desert

Ting Dong was a 32 year old pilot. He had black hair and he wore a black leather jacket.
Ting Dong and his friend, Ken, decided to go up for a parachute jump because it was a sunny day. They took off and got really high when the  wing fell off and the plane crashed. Luckily, they had parachutes.
They landed in a desert and Ken got lost, so Ting Dong was on his own. He walked and walked, but all he could see was yellow sand.


He got really hot and thirsty, so he walked and walked until he came to a forest on the edge of the desert. In the forest he saw snakes, spiders and other bugs.
He walked and he found a waterfall. He slowly walked to the waterfall and he drank until he wasn’t thirsty any more.
Ting Dong saw a man called Fred. Ting Dong said, “Oh my gosh. Please help me get out out of the forest,” so the man helped Ting Dong get out of the forest and get back to his family.

The Wizard of Oz

Tomorrow, we are doing The Wizard of Oz. I am a Tinman dancer. We wear silver and black face paint and silver funnel hats. We have silver paper wraps around our wrists and silver legs and arms.We dance side to side and backwards and forwards. I am feeling nervous because there are going to be heaps of people watching. 

The Kiwi Crew

During the Olympics, I saw Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan race in the 2012 Olympic Games. They were racing for a gold medal in rowing. 

They were going slow at the start but, when they hit 1000 metres, they started catching up. 

The calm blue water bobbed up and down. Nathan and Joseph were picking up speed and they were coming into 3rd place. 

I was feeling excited, then they passed another canoe. They were coming 2nd. 

I was cheering, "Go, New Zealand!"

They were catching up to the leader, and then, New Zealand passed the leader.

New Zealand was going as fast as they could to the finish line.

New Zealand came first. They won the gold medal. 

I was happy.

My name is Cameron. I go to St Paul's School. My favourite colour is blue. I play soccer and I scored three goals for my team, this year.
